Mechanic – Diesel Heavy Equipment and Small Engines
The mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of heavy equipment, light-duty trucks, and small engines.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on:
- Trucks (gasoline and diesel)
- Trailers
- Lifting platforms and lifting equipment
- Generators and small gasoline engines
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues
- Keep maintenance records up to date for each piece of equipment
- Ensure compliance with mechanical and environmental safety standards
- Work collaboratively with site personnel to ensure proper equipment operation
- Order and manage the parts required for repairs
- Occasionally travel to job sites to perform emergency repairs
- Ensure that equipment always meets CNESST and SAAQ requirements
You must have
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in diesel mechanics, heavy vehicle mechanics, or construction machinery mechanics
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of electronic diagnostics (an asset)
- Valid driver’s license (Class 3 is an asset)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Attention to detail and strong safety awareness
